Zhongzheng Road in Chiayi City, also known as “Er Tong,” is one of the city’s most historic main arteries, carrying the traces of urban development and rich cultural stories. This street not only preserves many valuable historical buildings and long-established shops but also nurtures diverse aspects of local life. It serves as an important space that bridges the past and the future, as well as tradition and innovation. As part of the Chiayi City Government’s “Top Ten Flagship Projects – Old Town Renaissance,” the city aims to revitalize urban spaces with Zhongzheng Road (Er Tong) as the core, branding the surrounding area as the “Er Tong Circle.” Through cultural experiences, urban design, and local connections, the project promotes regional revitalization. For this event, international students from our university are invited to participate in a guided walking tour of the Er Tong Circle to gain a deeper understanding of its cultural history and local characteristics.
