Goal of Laboratory

Our laboratory analyzes the pathogenicity of pathogens isolated from fish farms, investigates the frequencies of resistant strains and its mechanism, and develops the treatment or prevention methods (vaccines or bacterial phage).

Research interests

(1) Pathogen epidemiological investigation: Using molecular biology technology to identify pathogenic bacterial species including identification of genotypes and serotypes of different strains.

(2)  Detection of drug-resistant bacteria: Investigate the frequency of multiple drug resistance (MDR) bacteria and eluate the drug resistance mechanisms through genetic engineering technology.

(3)  Disease prevention and treatment: Vaccine development and study of bacterial phage.
