This introductory course covers three portions of statistics, namely, how to generate data, how to integrate and present data, and
how to make statistic inference. In the second semester, the specific topics touched upon include: hypothesis testing, statistical
inference about the population mean and variances, ANOVA, simple and multiple regression. Students are expected to master
problem solving using both manual computations and statistical software when finishing the course.
