一、教學目標：%

1.學生應學會資料的搜集、彙總、分析、解釋、敘述與呈現，此亦即敘述統計的核心內容。

2.學生應熟悉一些機率與統計的基本概念，術語及抽樣方法。

3.學生應學會各種統計方法，結合電腦威力，能夠分析日常生活中常見之事實，即瞭解統計方法的應用。 

4.培養學生正確嚴謹的態度，檢驗各種統計模式的假設條件，並小心解釋統計推論結果。

二、教學方式及評量方式：

教學方法：!

1.老師課堂上講述及演示 。
2.藉助powerpoint 提升教學效果。
3.到電腦教室介紹統計軟體之使用。
4.學生上機學習如何利用電腦處理複雜資料及製作各種統計圖形等等。

評量方式：C

1.平時作業及小考(30%) 。

2.期中考試(30%) 。

3.期末考試(40%)。

4. Random variables & probability distributions (Week 5,6).
5. The normal distribution (Week 7).
6. Sampling distribution and the Central Limit Theorem (Week 8).
7. Estimation ,Confidence intervals and Sample size (Week 9,10).
8. Hypothesis testing (Week 11,12).
9. Testing the difference between two means, two variances, and 
two proportions. (Week 13,14).
   10. Chi-Square tests (Week 15).
   11. Correlation and linear regression (Week 16,17,18).
