In
September 2024, the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering at National
Chiayi University held a well-attended parent-teacher meeting for the 113th
academic year. The event attracted a large number of parents of incoming
freshmen, exceeding expectations with its vibrant atmosphere. The meeting aimed
to enhance communication between parents and the university, providing a deeper
understanding of the department's developmental direction and further
strengthening the sense of belonging among the department members.
The event
began with a welcome speech by Dr. Lin Chao-Ming, the department head, who
expressed his gratitude to the parents for attending. Dr. Lin provided a
detailed overview of National Chiayi University, covering the institution's
history, educational philosophy, and campus environment. This introduction gave
parents a comprehensive understanding of the university life their children are
about to embark on. Dr. Lin then introduced the current status of the
