Introduction

Establishment Philosophy

The Department of Business Administration and the Graduate Institute of Business Administration are important departments of the College of Management. They were established in 2000 and 2001respectively, and have since become the cornerstone of the College of Management. In terms of curriculum, the departments are committed to three main features: "internationalization," "interdisciplinary integration," and "business ethics." The goal is to cultivate students with a balanced education in general studies and professionalism, an emphasis on balanced interpersonal relationships, and a broad perspective of thinking.

Development Direction

Balancing Theory and Practice

The department emphasizes case teaching and research, corporate practice observation, and interaction between full-time and part-time students. It not only considers "practicality" as the criterion for deciding on professional course offerings but also uses case discussions, field visits, and corporate internships as tools for supplementary teaching. Furthermore, inviting professionals from the industry to form advisory committees to provide suggestions, guide teaching practices, and invite speakers from various sectors to give lectures on campus, increasing students' interaction with the outside world, are also regular activities of the Department.

Emphasis on the Cultivation of Generalists

Because the department emphasizes the cultivation of versatile talents, courses in fields such as human resources, operations management, financial management, marketing management, management science, and information management provide comprehensive education to enhance students' integration capabilities. Moreover, students can strengthen specific expertise through the selected programs.
