The establishment of the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 was based on the national education upgrading plan. This plan improved the quality of veterinary professional education and the academic research. The College of Veterinary Medicine at NCYU offers bachelor’s degree program, master degree program in veterinary medicine, and master degree program in clinical veterinary medicine. The College of Veterinary Medicine also comprises Animal Disease Diagnostic Center and Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Students in the College of Veterinary Medicine at NCYU will learn the knowledge and skills of diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control of animal disease. Our mission is to educate veterinary and graduate students to promote the health and well-being of people and animals.
The College of Veterinary Medicine at NCYU not only provides professional veterinary education for students, researches and veterinarians, but also dedicates in helping the domestic and economic animals in Yun-Chia-Nan area by offering service of animal disease control, diagnosis, treatment and prevention, especially in zoonotic and public disease. We also put a lot of efforts on studies of drug residue tests, infectious disease, epidemiology, and pathology.
The College of Veterinary Medicine at NCYU has helped numerous students to establish successful careers in veterinary field. Along with Animal Disease Diagnostic Center and Veterinary Teaching Hospital, College of Veterinary Medicine offer students a high quality learning environment in both basic studies and clinical practice.
