Perspective
The department aims to develop a program that balances classic and modern literature. Special emphasis will be placed on the teaching and study of Taiwanese culture and literature. In addition, the department will serve to promote local literary development and creation in the Chiayi area. The ultimate goal of the department is to provide an environment where students can acquire professional knowledge and skills as well as grow to become open-minded and creative literary individuals.
